Women and sport discussion panel
Increasing gender equality in sport is a key priority of the IOC and Olympic Movement. While significant steps have been made, an imbalance remains. Not only is it difficult for women to play sport in some parts of the world, there is the added challenge more universally for women to find a professional role within the sports industry once they no longer compete.
In light of this, SportAccord Convention moderator Charmaine Crooks, five-time Olympian and President of strategic advisory company NGU Consultants, hosted a panel discussion during SportAccord Convention 2015 in Sochi entitled "When inequality IS the legacy."
As one of the most respected and effective communicators in the world of sport, JTA Managing Director Séverine Hubert joined Kate Caithness, World Curling Federation President; Molly Rhone, International Netball Federation President; and Paul Smith, CEO & Founder of Repucom for a panel discussion on the power of mentoring, advice they would offer the next generation and what they hope their own legacies will be.
